Reproductive Rights
As a woman, I have been shocked by the recent attacks on reproductive rights. I will stand firm for the right to choose.
Affordable Rent
Rent increases are getting out of control. Hard work deserves affordable housing. We need to look at creative solutions to build more affordable housing.
Schools
I am opposed to school closures. There are some short-term fixes, but the legislature really needs to overhaul the school funding model.
Transit
I am pleased transit ridership is returning to pre-pandemic levels. I am committed to expanding transit to reduce carbon emissions and make progress toward meeting our climate change goals.
Responsible Gun Laws
Hardly a day goes by without gun violence. The recent Supreme Court decision to allow bump-stocks is terrifying. I will fight for stronger gun safety laws.
Homelessness
It is immoral and cruel for people to be living on the streets and in parks in such a wealthy state. Especially when children are homeless. We need to treat them with dignity and respect and get them housed.
Public Safety
I envision an equitable approach to public safety. We need to make sure our police officers treat everyone with respect and dignity with ongoing training and oversight.
Seniors
With property values climbing, I am concerned too many seniors are going to be forced out of their homes. I support expanding the senior property tax deferral.
Environment
Our environment is a treasure of the Pacific Northwest. I am committed to protecting our air, water, forests, wetlands and wildlife for future generations.
