Cape Canaveral has been my home for 32 years with my husband, Tim. We have two adult children and love being grandparents. We enjoy family time, walking on the beach, and staying involved in the local community.
What makes me qualified to speak for you on the City Council? My experiences in a varied professional career and the desire to serve you, my fellow citizens in the community we love.
I started my career in Brevard County as a broadcaster for WESH-TV, a columnist for local news publications, and radio programs.
Notably, I reported daily for NASA where I voiced the shuttle launch commentary the day Challenger 7 exploded over our coast. I then worked on the investigation of the shuttle malfunction.
I am ready to serve on DAY ONE with experience in local government and organizations. I was appointed to the Cape Canaveral Planning and Zoning Board, fundraised for Brevard County Libraries, and chaired a grant committee for United Way, which vetted funds awarded to local agencies. I also volunteered for Wreaths Across America and stand with Gold Star Families of Navy SEALS.
It's important to have open, honest, and good government that works FOR the people and the good of the community. The concerns we have in Cape Canaveral are unique to us, yet in many ways they are shared by communities across the country. Since retirement, I've been able to focus on issues that impact our daily lives. Let me be your voice on concerns that matter most to you.
What are YOUR concerns? Tell me what matters to you. Please reach out and get involved! Help me win the 2020 election so I can be YOUR voice on our Cape Canaveral City Council.
I'm asking for YOUR Vote and YOUR Voice. Handing out flyers, phone banks, and donations are all great ways to help, but I also want to hear from you!
I ask for your vote to be your voice to secure our community's future. Our safety and well-being. Our natural resources. Prioritizing our fiscal responsibilities. Drop me a line with your ideas on how you think we can make our Cape Canaveral community better. Vote Andrea Shea-King to be YOUR voice on our City Council.
It’s time for a fresh outlook at our City's priorities. Two Council seats are open. With your help, I will win one of them and be YOUR voice.
Please call me to discuss your ideas and concerns for the City of Cape Canaveral ahead of the 2020 City Council Election!
