Three years ago, I saw a problem that the city would not address. Instead of doing nothing, I founded We Heart Seattle, a volunteer clean-up group that helps clear our parks of used needles and trash. We Heart Seattle works directly with the unhoused to offer them shelter. For those with addiction or mental health issues we help get them treatment. Hundreds in need have benefited from our services.
